You're strung out, John, no question.

Morning, Mick and Guitar John.
Listening to the elk call to each other while I sip my coffee.

Mornin, Stan. If you're still thinking of breakfast I suggest grits as a continuing part of your good ol boy transformation.

My son is on break from the oil field, he helped me saw it yesterday. It took us 12 hrs straight thru, no lunch break.

This morning I feel like I I've been in a car wreck.

Looks like a real nice job though. Is it ultimately part of a development or a new public roadway?
It's done that way here as well amigo. Bid proposal, contracts, getting bonded, etc etc. but on this job we've know each other 25 yrs. We made an agreement on price and shook hands. Don't think he even put it out for bids, although a couple of contractors got wind of it and called him, but he stuck with me. It's a City street and he owns all the lots, and will not sell to other builders. I pour his slabs as well so I will be doing all the house slabs on the street, probably 25 houses.

Starting the next street soon. I need to get it done because I'm headed to North Carolina in a month.

Morning Woodrow's.....

Mornin, Jack. How many times have you heard 'my word is my bond' as you grew up?

It's Sunday morning... at least they could have the courtesy to turn their ringers off.

Re-morning Woodsnitzes. Pool services complete, damn grass is too wet to mow as we had a spot of rain come through here last night which was good for a change.

I heard it all the time, even as an adult, but it's getting rarer and rarer every day.

I had a builder years ago come by to pay me, they were going on vacation for 10 days, owed me a considerable amount of money, and they stopped by my job to pay me. Problem is I had forgotten my briefcase that day, and couldn't remember the exact amount. Told them I would have to wait I guess. As I'm talking to Cyril I see Mary Jo writing on a check. She handed me a signed BLANK check.

That level of trust is incredible to me. I work for them but they're like family. If they needed something all they would have to do is ask.
