Talking about knives. So one of the kids on Jaxen's football team is a Weatherbey. I was chatting with his father at the game and forging came up. Apparently he makes knives from out of spec Weatherbey barrels. Some sick *** knives but the price is something else!

I was lucky enough to have a friend who was a great knife maker, and very particular. All my customs I have are from him. Had a shop up in Red River NM buy all his knives and sell them for outrageous prices. Basically he got tired of it and only does it occasionally now.
As a hunter, my favorite style of knife is a drop point. I've skinned and cut up a lot of deer with this knife.....

Whoever decides to sign up for that will be dealing with deer loving liberal soccer moms, animal activists, spoiled, crying video game kids when they see a dead deer for the first time.... etc etc.
Code 3 folding knife these days.
used to have a Bowie knife with some kind of bone handle ( broken) so I used a mahogany no lock turned on a lathe split it then glued to the handle of the blade ( one piece) had it for years. Lost from the divorce. Hence the lesser blade, I had bigger things on my mind.

Makes sense Jack. I just want a utility fixed blade like my old black handled Buck. Just something nicer. 1k for a knife is a bit much but I do want something that is high quality. Champagne wishes and a malt liquor budget. I wish my buddy Max was still making knives but he does big projects now.

Those are beautiful knives Lou, and whoever did his website did a bang up job. Very cool.

I'm assuming it's in the If you have to ask, you can't afford it category.
