Yup...we have 94 degrees here. Sticking around a few days and then it cools off. I see leaves turning already so this too shall pass.

I’m finishing the last item on my 60k driveline service, that would be changing the front differential fluid. All is going well, no broken bolts, new gasket in hand, correct replacement fluid, what could go wrong ? 🤔. Well I’ll tell you. Diff cover on , all surfaces clean, lock-tite on the bolts. All that’s left is to refill, that’s when the tip of my suction/ filling tool comes off inside the differential , that’s right, take it back apart, retrieve the tip , and start over Mom, you lied to me, how could you 🥲
hey I’m not gonna blow sunshine an roses up your a$$. But I will tell you it gets better before it gets worse. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference

It’s one of my traits to strive for perfection when working on all things mechanical , because, as you said, there’s a right way and a wrong way to do every job. That being said I sometimes feel like the “**** retentive carpenter from Saturday night live “ that can’t move forward unless everything is perfect 😂. I trust a new gasket and property torqued bolts will stay sealed. Plus if I was to see as much as a drip, I would not ignore it.

We have leaves turning here as well but it's because they're being burned to death....

I could have left a little piece of plastic in there with those big strong gears, it wouldn’t have stood a chance but I didn’t, I backed up and got it out 😂

I’m afraid this heat finished off one of my live oaks in the front yard that FreezeMageddon started. It got the radial shakes from the freeze and now it looks terminal because of the heat.

We're expecting near 2" of rain starting tomorrow morning into Sunday morning. Temps in the 70s. Remnants of that tropical storm that passed through Texas.

For the Record: I have crossed the Mighty Makinaw Bridge in 2020. Road construction on the paved lane forced us a couple of miles on the grated section. TNLT was not a fan of the grates!

The Mighty Mac

Eveming woods, been a while.
