TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
Halito Woods. Finally home from the weekend. Jack Pine Enduro..... 2 road crossings today, about 340 riders, 70 numbers, and a pretty warm day. Short run today.... only 50 miles. Typically these enduros run 120 miles plus. Have no idea who won overall, I left when we got done with our duties and the riders were all in, being scored, etc, etc. Unsure about what number this race was. I believe Lansing Motorcycle Club started 1920, and the enduros started 1923. There were some years lost for WWII and covid. We think this was #97. But 100 is coming soon and I hope to be there!
Did not go back and read last couple days.,...hope everyone is doing well and is healthy. May be back later tonite!

Good evening all. It was a good day, a really really good day and I didn't even get to ride. Too rainy to get out today.
Someone got laid.

Only a foot deep, then it turns from soil to a sandy, gravelly lighter colored stuff that needs a pickaxe to dig. Was disappointing, thought I'd get most of the dirt I need that way, have plenty of wood to put in them. Just too much work to dig that underlying crap. Now I know where all the little rocks that keep frost heaving up back there come from.
I'm not sure glacial Lake Agassiz came down that far but it's entirely possible. 🤣🤣
