Take a whole white onion, cut the ends, peel skin, slice in half, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Throw pats of butter, don’t be shy with it, in between the halves and on top. Wrap in foil, cook on the grill over medium heat for 40 or so minutes.
He’ll let us know if I screwed it up, it was his recipe.
