The Sheriff took my truck, complete with a lot of my equipment in it, for his own use. Left me to drive my POV for two weeks and they complained I brought the bike in. Swapped me out to an old Tahoe. Damaged my truck while using it, then denied knowing anything about it, and there's evidence the dent was popped out, so someone knew it had been damaged.

I have refused to use my own equipment, including cameras and everything else I have. So they they can deal with the crap I hand in from now on.

I'm always on the butt end here, but I need the job. So, do what you will, it doesn't matter.

It is going to take time to get them used to you be around again. Make sure the rules are set from the get go, which it sounds like you’ve done.

 

Yeah, I'm not using my expensive equipment for them. I'll use my county issued cell phone for photos and if I don't have something, it won't be used. I'm done being treated like a second class citizen, and since coming back I've just been messed with. So fk em all.

 

Im sure you know you should document “pictures “ of your work truck. Or you’ll get blamed for the damage.

Been a "Get off my grass" type of day.

 

I have photos when the truck was in my possession. This damage has been noted as having happened while I was out and cannot be blamed. When I get the truck back, I'll take 360 photos again.
Funny you say that. One of the first things I had TLT take from the truck while I was in the hospital were those cables. They're in my tool box at the house currently. Safe from anyone touching them.
