Any truck is a good first vehicle in my book.

Evening gents!

My first car was a 66 F100 that my Dad bought at a DNR auction. All green, straight 6, with 3 on the tree. Imagine a kid driving that these days! At that time it was far less appealing than the Trans Am I wanted. Go figure. Now I would kill to have it back.

Bob, had a young salesman that paged me to the showroom floor. His customer has a pickup that needed an appraisal. I told to drive it up front.

He couldn't, 3 on the tree.

That’s why they call them go-fast boats, when the flames start, they go fast

Dang Tick..... my beard was almost as long as that....but I got tired of it blowing in my face when I rode. Yes, I banded it into a "pony tail" but the sides were still all over. I got it trimmed up to about a fistful now. Besides, I kinda felt I didn't look good enough for the Honor Guard.
Stan, I hope you and your family can learn as much from her as she will while she's here.
Dad had a 1964 Ford F100, V8 (I think) and three on the tree. I spent some of my early years driving that back and forth from the fields to the house for things for dad. And my first truck was a 1973 Ford F100 Ranger XLT. Which I wish I still had!!

My sister was a holy terror with a 3 on the tree. My Mom had a 76 Pacer (made the 66 Ford seem awesome by comparison) with the 3 speed. My sister would borrow it from time to time and when she shifted, she would turn the wheel with the same motion as shifting. Basically she was swerving down the road the whole time until she finally got up to cruising speed. That's the car I learned to drive on. God....what a horrible car. Wished my sister would have crashed it so Mom would buy something a little less awful. Which eventually came in the form of a 77 Mustang II. Lesson learned - be careful what you wish for.

I have a halon fire extinguisher in my engine compartment. It’s automatic, deploys when the temperature rises enough to melt the fuse. It’s pretty small, I hope it will work adequately in case of emergency. I have a back up in the cockpit but it’s small also.

Back from a golf cart ride to survey the neighborhood. Nothing new other than the city is resurfaced the road out the south side of our subdivision.
