I always thought there was a kinship between truckers and bikers. But I was proven wrong today, way back from a Harley dealer cookout. I came up to a semi. Independent single axle tractor and trailer. Doing the speed limit. But I bide my time for a stretch to pass. Albeit not a legal zone. But long and empty enough to get ahead of this guy. Well lo an behold this guy goes 2 feet over the yellow as I’m passing clearly an intimidating move but I used to drive those things and I know it’s limits. But I will second guess the next time. It’s dangerous out there fellas even for us wannabe types.

Finally cooling of! It's only 115* now. Looks like I'll be pouring wine at the Styx concert. Just working for tips. I sure hope the concert doesn't suck.

In the '60s I probably trusted truckers too much, but they seemed to be the best, most courteous drivers as a group. By the '90s I'd had a couple close ones by semis and didn't trust anyone anymore. Even saw one deliberately run a car off the road, a road hog that speed up every time the truck tried to pass, and I know that's aggravating as hell, but you can kill someone putting them in the weeds at 60mph.
