Todays ride was good, no issues with beer can fix. I’ll post up some pictures later as we are heavily into our evening festivities.

Evening, guys.
Actually a good day riding considering we got rained on twice and just about blown off the road from the wind.

Evening Woodsnitzes from Grand Junction, CO.

We left this morning from Ely, NV and scooted across on the Lonelinest Road in in America until we got to Utah then pounded out some miles on I-70 to Grand Junction.

The landscape in Utah is like no where else in the world. We were rained on twice but not for very long as it was a bigger hassle putting on the rain suits than anything else. Happy to report that the beer can fix on Mick’s bike held solid for the day and we got to Grand Junction HD where they replaced the parts after some shaming to motivate them. The guy who did the repair was done in 10 minutes. It helps to have the right tools for the job!

We met a really sweet couple from CA today who were celebrating their 50th anniversary by making a “grandchildren run” and visiting all of their grandchildren in three states. They were riding and Electra Glide and towing a trailer and we talked for quite a while sharing stories, asking questions and just being friendly. That’s what this is all about, shared experiences. There are some who will never understand it and I feel sorry for them.

Tomorrow, we break up the band further with Greg headed to Denver while Mick, Kristi and I will head south after Avon for Raton, NM in prep for the final push to our respective homes. Thanks for riding along with us.

Started out very nice

Rain ahead

US 50, the loneliest road

Into Utah

Beautiful scenery

No where else looks like Utah

Great pics “Russ” no thumbs 😂. I rode Hwy 50 in 1980 for a long way with a friend to California. My Kawasaki had just enough range to make it between fuel stops. It was the trip of a lifetime.
