Unscheduled at this point and kudos to Mick for going 160 miles without shifting! We think the shaft the actuated the shifter arm is stripped so we are going to shim it and see if we can get that arm tight enough. We will try using strips from a beer can (Mexican of course) to act as a shim.
Well h3ll. At least the manufacturing of the shim will be fun and making more couldn't hurt.
Just came across this pic on the net. It's the Mt Lassen Volcano going off in 1913.
I found it interesting because we all rode through there the other day on the way to Reno. I had never heard of it. I noticed a LOT of very large boulders everywhere in the fields. I guessed that they were volcanic in nature. I'm not sure what the process is, but I would imagine the thing blew it's top sending hot magma into the air, and it cooled into solid form as it returned to the ground. That must have been a hell of a thing to have that raining down.
Jenn and I noticed it up there. I think it's called pyroclast.
At least that's what I lied to her.

If you have more than one garage door and a belt goes bad for the opener do yourself a favor and replace both. Mine went bad within days of each other from dry rot. Youtube is also your friend because those belts are timed. It isn't like throwing a fan belt on.

But that’s only because I’m cursed.
We wrestled that shifter shaft out, shimmed it with a Mexican beer can and it works like a champ. Note-Use strips of the beer can stuck through the arm before putting it back on the shaft. Both were stripped by the way.
