Just came across this pic on the net. It's the Mt Lassen Volcano going off in 1913.

I found it interesting because we all rode through there the other day on the way to Reno. I had never heard of it. I noticed a LOT of very large boulders everywhere in the fields. I guessed that they were volcanic in nature. I'm not sure what the process is, but I would imagine the thing blew it's top sending hot magma into the air, and it cooled into solid form as it returned to the ground. That must have been a hell of a thing to have that raining down.

Lassen is one of the best-kept secrets in motorcycling. Awesome riding.

Just got home from audiologist.... one hearing aid wasn't working, so she cleaned and checked it out. Now it works fine. She sorta admonished me for not having these checked every 6 months. But she was a cutie so I didn't mind!! Just one of those thinks I keep forgetting about! So she set me up with an appointment for this come January.
Getting old (and 8 years in artillery) sure ain't fun!!

Good evening all. I played nine and had fun. Now it is time to take the lovely bride out to dinner. Today is her 62nd birthday.

Afternoon Woodsnitzes, just arrived in Ely, NV for the evening. Once the bikes cool down, we have a little maintenance to pull on the red bike.
