How is the cell reception on the road in the desert? Can you listen to music or do you need to have downloaded files?.

VERY spotty cell reception and yes you need to have your playlist downloaded. Black helmets are hotter. Half helmets I’m afraid would be worse.

I have a crap ton of music downloaded.
So I never was without it. I am not sure how bad the reception got out there.

I think Satellite would work pretty well there.
I don't have a receiver on the bike though.
I should add that, would be a little less monotonous.
