It was a good ride home yesterday. I elected to take the scenic route, which added time and distance. The direct route was I-5, which is essentially a waste of a ride and I didn't want to close a great trip out that way. So instead I took the back way which, oddly enough, covered the "Oregon Backcountry" route.
The time was pretty damn close - I left at 5:15 and got home at 4:30.
The ride was mostly uneventful, but started of in a not typical manner. More on that here - https://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-t...l#post21300758
Temps stayed manageable until I hit Bend, OR. At that point I tossed on the evaporative vest and soaked my clothing, which felt great while riding.
Some pics from the trip -
The gang at Crater Lake
More pics from the Crater Lake area.
One of the many stops for single lane traffic.
The Redwood forest
Somewhere on the way home. Pics don't do it justice. It was vast and beautiful.
Safe travels to the remaining Woods riders!
