Well good, bad, or indifferent, I just ordered a Cardo PackTalk Neo to replace my PackTalk Bold. Our small group has the Bold, and they worked so-so on our trip. We did have issues trying to connect couple times, and had some connectivity issues between lead (me) and last rider. Range did not seem to be that good.... had eyes on him, maybe 3-500 yards back, and he could not catch all conversations. Did quite a bit of research and felt the Neo to be a good replacement. Not sure how the other guys will feel about my change, but I went ahead with it anyhow. We are trying to schedule a meeting to discuss and finalize any monetary issues on trip, so I'll let them know then. Fortunately the Neo will pair up with the other Bolds. Little disappointed the Bold was discontinued and will probably no longer have support. Plus the range of the Neo should help a bit with our comms. I may offer up a hell of a deal to one of my riding partners son for this unit.
Now wait for the Neo to get here and start playing with it. Anyone else use the Cardo system?

I just got back from a trip to Ocala. I visited the Guitar Center, Warhorse Harley Davidson, the Indian dealership and then on the way back I stopped in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida at the Big Bass Grill on the lake. We are playing there July 30th and I wanted to get the lay of the land. Apparently it is a major biker destination on Sunday afternoons and I had never heard about it. Well, I know now and it is on the list. We will rock the joint.
Does anyone know how to share what rider A is listening too with the second Cardo unit?? I have intercom with the other helmet
but that’s it
but that’s it

Russ are you going to take the I-5 down from Chester? It's fast moving but watch out for pot holes. I think the average speed is 90.

Forecast yesterday was evening rain, didn't get enough to wet the ground. No rain today, and it's pouring down. That's ok for me, garden can use it, won't have to water today or tomorrow at least. Was 85 today, on the humid side, did some easy stuff outside, the old body gives out too quick working up a sweat above 50% humidity or even less sometimes. Truck hasn't moved for 6 days, fired it up to see how the ac is holding up and it's definitely still leaking, just not quite as fast. Ordered a new condenser, now I need a cooler day to install it. Sure hope that fixes it and there's no other leaks, but that's all that showed up with the dye stuff. That stuff glows so well in ultraviolet I could see it in daylight.
That's a ride through beautiful country for the Woods on the road. Like the photos. When I win the lottery or my ex dies I'd like to try that on the new Goldwing.

Oil line plug up? Shouldn't have happened on an oil fed bearing. Lot of crud in that photo, wouldn't be surprised if got oil starved. I had an International bus engine spin a crank bearing because it stopped getting oil. Gave it to a Mormon outfit that fixed it and drove it to Central America with some kind of supplies.
