I'm not sure it's good advice, but I rode many miles with a plug in my back tire on my 2020 RG. I damn well kept an eye on it. Chris, do you have tpms?

Tire shops tell me a patch from the inside can be permanent, a plug is temporary/ emergency .

Good evening from Red Bluff, CA. We rode CA 26 from Yreka to Eureka followed by a short trip on 101 to see some redwood trees then out CA 36 to Red Bluff. The roads were solid twisties for hundreds of miles, 409 to be exact. Great riding. We ran into several construction zones along the routes and the flag gets waved is to the front of the lines. I am enjoying the respect afforded motorcyclists.

I do have TPMS. I had it on my Street Glide too. It told me I had a flat as I was crashing.

I would too, all things considered.

I'm sure a patch would hold.

All that said, i don't care. I'm aggravated, but I bought another tire. No way, after everything, will I trust that. A new tire is cheaper than the sleep I'd lose or the crash if I have another blow out. Nope, no way. Can't change my mind.

Bob has received his “hat of gratitude” for the awesome meal he and his lovely wife prepared for the Woods and for storing our bikes in his garage. Thank you Bob, wear it in good health!
