I want to remind the Woods ( in particular ) to be careful out there. I know we all know the inherent risks of riding a motorcycle but it’s a sad fact we’re all just one absent minded driver away from disaster.
Yesterday I’m fallowing a car down a two lane , main drag through town when we are approaching a four way stop. The car ahead of me doesn’t touch it’s brake whatsoever 😳 , blows right through the stop. I couldn’t help but think if someone on a bike after getting to the intersection first ( assumed for a moment) surely the car will stop for the sign and proceeded to cross, game over, done !!. I fallowed the car for a couple miles, it drifted over the fog line a number of times, it was painfully obvious the driver’s head was not “in the game” , it gave me a unsettling feeling the rest of the day 🙏.

So anyhoot. Yall have a great 36 hours. Cuz that’s all that’s left for this holiday. We’re gonna do some eating shopping and that’s about it. We didn’t buy any fireworks this year. Too expensive for the sparklers their peddling anyways. Lot of municipal displays have been cancelled due to weather. So there is that.

Our local fireworks are pushed back I think till they 8th they said. I didn’t plan on going either way, so for me that just means that many more nights of the neighbors setting off fireworks and my dog freaking out for the next week.
I feel bad for the dog obviously but it’s also 4th of July so I can’t fault the neighbors. If I didn’t have a dog of my own I’d be half in the bag setting off mortars too
