See a shrink, or medium if you prefer. You are channeling Russ the Wire Guy. To you each...

I hope my detector would've been better calibrated.

In this case you're using one of the three wires between the switches as the power, not the switch leg like I told you. It doesn't matter as they are interchangeable. In the end, the black screw gets either the power or the wire running to the light. The brass screws are always travelers.

And yes, ignore the second light. It doesn't matter if it's one or 100 lights - concept is the same.

Next up....4 way switches
ok I got it now. One black screw light. The other power. With both legs travelers for power ultimately to the light. End result will be a light that will operate on two switches. 3 ways are my limit. Fwiw.

Nice kub of about 250 miles today. Getting ready for evening trap league after cooling off a bit.

To paraphrase Vizzini - "He fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, ‘never get involved in a land war in Asia,’ but only slightly less well-known is this: ‘Never go in against a Canadian woman when alcohol is on the line!"

In memoriam, we could give him an "E" for effort. Perhaps death was more fitting than trying to later explain the evening to your wife.

My knowledge of Vizzini has vastly improved.

Thanks, Bob.

Currently back indoors, Stan. Too hot for anything other than being in the water. Those who do physical labor in this heat have my respect.

Agreed Mick. We're high 80s here today and these were perfect days for baling small square bales back in the day, as the hay cured well in these temps. I was a teen then; today it would kill me.
EDIT: Naturally we were still drawing our wagons with horses in those days.
