Was in Home D today, curious and looked at doors, from under $200 with frame (insulated metal) to $3000 for just the door (wood?). Didn't see much difference in them, and I replaced front & back doors with the under $200 kind, seem like good doors, look ok to me. I replaced the frames on both since they came with them, bit tedious to get them squared and plumb, but took my time and they fit good.
But 14 grand for 4 doors? ****, we need to ship you a few busloads of immigrants.

it’s closer to 5 k. 1/3 for materials 2/3rds for labor. And because of a few decades of lawsuits companies pay for insurance which in turn the consumer pays. All the time.
We’re paying for excellent service and no fugg ups. I know if I did it. It would save a buck. But also a shlt job. So we pay to play.
