Good morning all. Back to work Tuesday. I have already been working on reports this morning but decided to stop, eat a bite and take my daily supplements. Oh yeah, and check in here.
It generally takes a 58 or 59 where I play regularly to win a scramble. It is a par 72 course. On a rare occasion I have seen a 62 win. They usually only distribute money to the best three scores. The Tuesday and Thursday scramble teams are randomly assembled. They rate the golfers A, B, C, D. One from each pile is chosen to form a team. It is not uncommon for the same A golfer to win regardless of the rest of his team. I have never seen or heard about any cheating but I am sure it could happen. On Sunday you can generally bring or request your own team amongst those there. If the team is just too good they will break it up after a week or two to try and maintain parody. I like to play with my buddy on Sunday and they limit who we can have as the other two. We generally get an older player who can hit from the gold tees which gives us an advantage on a few holes. There are enough gold players to go around so everyone gets one or two. A few weeks ago mu buddy did not show and I was teamed up with 3 gold players. That did not work out.

58,59,and another 60 beat us out of the money at our church golf event. Some guys just like to cheat. ( there is no way a 4 man scramble could get a 58 on this course. Not wit 2 doglegs and 8 very long par 4 s. There is just no way. But somebody did.
they cheated. Plain an simple. I didn’t mind I was paid to play so there is that.
