Dogs don't typically try to stab the new dog.

I've done a lot of riding in AZ, you can't carry too much water. Normally there's plenty of places to stop for a drink, but a breakdown on the road could be a misery, if not dangerous without water. Not so bad in the mountains, but get down in the lower areas and the heat can be brutal on a bike. I recommend covering all your skin from the sun, especially when the temp gets near 100, the faster you go the hotter the oven effect is, not like in the humid south where speed gives you a cooling effect in high humidity. A light weight mesh jacket or long sleeve shirt will keep you cooler in those conditions than a t-shirt. I don't recommend standard cotton T's, either, those light weight wicking T's are much cooler.

Checkin in for the afternoon fellas, hope you all have something decent going on this weekend.

Chasing my *** here still. Not too much planned this weekend, thankfully. Got to at least run down the the dealer and see if they have a Gremlin bell I can get my Dad for Fathers Day since he got that new Road Glide, figured he needs a bell. Something saved his *** on Monday riding his old bike, need to keep that luck going as long as possible

I love mesh jackets. But there is a downside - they cool by wicking moisture away. It feels great, but you become a condenser which leads to hydration. Fantastic for 1 or 2 hour rides. But, I've decided for long trips to use a good jacket that has vents but that's about it. It's a little warmer, but at the end of a long day, you will feel better. And always cover skin. And hydrate with Gatorade at gas stops.
