Made it to Cleveland, Georgia in one piece 😳, coming through Atlanta was a white knuckle experience to say the least . No damage though other than my nervous system. We will be 10 days in the Smoky Mountains before we pick up Bo and head home.

I finallly decided on the helmet, went down to cycle gear yesterday and tried on the two I was inbetween, the Neotec 2 and the RF-1400. Ended up with the RF-1400 with transitional shield - which was actually much more expensive than I would have guessed.

In other news... my Dad found a 2022 CVO RG out in Arizona, garage queen Exhibit A with 622 miles on it for a very reasonable price. So he bought the thing and had it shipped maybe a month ago. It finally showed up this weekend, long story but it got delivered to my house Saturday while we were both upstate. Yesterday I had the pleasure of riding it over to his house for him, such an awesome bike. Of course he had to wash it right away. That black/blue with the black chrome or whatever they call it, is really a cool combo.

That 117 gets up and goes too. Pretty pumped for him, he's always wanted a CVO

What a nice find ! I love the look of that black chrome, way nicer than the standard black powder coat

Hey TOAKers! The 2004 Road King is fairly new to me. Took the first longer ride yesterday (200 miles from Apex NC to just South of Myrtle Beach SC). The RK did great. Runs solid. I started to feel that the riding position is somewhat cramped. Seemed odd to a 5'9" guy. I plan to measure the rear shocks and see if it was lowered. There is some brake dive, so will look into front and rear suspension next winter along with fresh tires. Might as well replace front wheel bearings also since it is almost 20 years old.

I'll pass 22,000 miles on the odometer on the way home this weekend. So far it looks like the $6000 I paid was ok.

O’ did I mention, I left my phone on the bed rail of my truck, ten miles down the expressway from where we started?. Used find my phone app to locate it on the on ramp , turned around went back and found it 🤓

that 6 k will be a sweeter price when you rack up the next 22 k.
