Morning Russ! So you'll take 4 or 5 days to get from Denver here? What highlights are you picking up along the way? There's a bunch.

I was thinking of the outside parameters Bob. It is really only a couple of days ride but we will be stopping to smell the roses so to speak. We plan to stop in Lake Stevens, WA so I can visit the boy and my grand dog briefly. Next day down to your place where we will sing the Ukrainian anthem on your lawn. I plan to take the back roads through the mountains to your place.

I hope he let's you play with the remote lock/unlock feature for the bags.

Off for kubbing and to test Bob's higher/lower center of gravity postula.

I woulda said theory but I thought postula made me sound smarter.

Do y'all have wiggle room in your itinerary for a taco bar at my house? Who is coming from the Denver part to the actual WS site?

I was fortunate enough to experience that feeling of luxury, I got to do 5 lock/unlock cycles before I had to forfeit the keys

Makes sense. Just trying to get a sense of the timing because I have a project delivering Monday, July 10th. I could leave it to someone else, but if you're not going to get here until Monday evening or Tuesday, I would go handle it. Then I need to arrange lodging for Casper. We can roll with that but once here, were you thinking of doing a day ride using us as a home base? Or just keep going south to California right away? I get that's it's fluid right now - just tossing it out there. That said, there are some pretty epic loops in this area that we could do. But there is also some pretty epic riding between here and all points in California. Either way, we are in.

As far as the scenic ride from Lake Stevens to here, you probably know the roads better than me, but some of them are still closed due to snow. I would imagine by July maybe not but you'll want to check road closures. The road to Mt St Helens (504) is indefinitely closed due to slides. Hwy 410, to the east of Rainier, is open and I heard an amazing ride. Hwy 25 to the east of MSH looks like a promising route, but I've heard it's not terribly scenic and beat up badly. it's also currently closed. A ride down the coast into Astoria would be pretty great and there's some great riding between there and here as well. Y2K (local forum member) would be a good resource for routes anywhere in this region.
