TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
Halito Greg, Chuck, Mick, Bill, Jeff, Woods. Happy Twosday!! Russ, we plan to leave Michigan on Fathers Day. Head to Chicago and find the start sign, then get the hell outta there! Planning on total of 2 weeks to ride west and back. Not going much further than the California border. I anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Our plan is to ride what we can along the highways. Maybe couple side trips, but the intent is to ride what we can and use the highway around major cities. We need to be back by end of June.
Gonna head over and see my brother this morning. He had a stroke last year. He just moved back to Michigan from N Carolina. Under some circumstances I don't approve, but it is his life. He called and wanted to see me, so I'll head over for a few hours today.
HOpe you all have a great day. News is talking about the fires all over and how dry we are here in Michigan. And I'm sure there are many others same way. But locally there is huge push for no fires, bon-fires, etc. So hoping none of y'all are in danger's way!!

Mornin gents!
Sucky weather here today, got the pre-trip jitters though. Leaving Friday at 0600 if all goes as planned, weather in NH is not looking ideal but I think that is typical there for this time of year. Routes are locked in and we should be good to go.
I finallly decided on the helmet, went down to cycle gear yesterday and tried on the two I was inbetween, the Neotec 2 and the RF-1400. Ended up with the RF-1400 with transitional shield - which was actually much more expensive than I would have guessed.
In other news... my Dad found a 2022 CVO RG out in Arizona, garage queen Exhibit A with 622 miles on it for a very reasonable price. So he bought the thing and had it shipped maybe a month ago. It finally showed up this weekend, long story but it got delivered to my house Saturday while we were both upstate. Yesterday I had the pleasure of riding it over to his house for him, such an awesome bike. Of course he had to wash it right away. That black/blue with the black chrome or whatever they call it, is really a cool combo.
That 117 gets up and goes too. Pretty pumped for him, he's always wanted a CVO
