Last night I used my Cycle Hill tire changer for the first time. All I can say is, if you want to change your own tires, it's a good way to go. What used to be a grueling job with tire spoons and rim protectors became a piece of cake with minimal exertion. I got mine used for $200, so well worth it. And "Casper's Pond" makes for a great way to check for leaks.

I have the same one, with the overhead arm (makes it even easier) and bead breaker. Haven't seen a base like that before, not on the NoMar website. I have mine bolted to the garage floor, but that base held by a car would be handy, could put the changer somewhere out of the way when not using it, it does take up a fair amount of garage space. Do you know where it came from?

My wrists don't ever want to do a tire with just spoons again. Almost easy enough a child could do it.

Forecast rain turned into clear skies and hot, garden work was done by 10:30, going to be an air conditioned day. Tomorrow starts my summer grandkid schedule, need to clean the dirt I've tracked in off the floors and get a bunch of garden stuff in the house put away, should be done with it for the year.

Jack, hoping for some good news, or at least not bad.

The guy I got the changer from said they don't make the base anymore. It is handy, but like you said, takes up a bit of room when not in use.

I could order that upper arm for not much $$, but it's so easy as is, I don't feel the need. I'm sure had it come with it, I would appreciate the extra advantage though.

And it does have the bead breaker. That is worth the price of admission on it's own. I was sick of rigging 2x4s up and leveraging off my truck bumper to break beads in the past.
