Valid. But, (always a but) I give companies slack for stuff like this. Holidays have become sales opportunities for retailers. Christmas is a great example. There is very little "Jesus" in Christmas and one could go down the rabbit hole of his birthdate vs the current date, and the politics involved in setting it.

Easy for me to say as I did not serve, nor have I lost friends who did. That would certainly alter my perspective, and I may not be so lenient had it been the case.
