Morning Mick, John, Tim, Greg.....

Did a nice dirtbike ride yesterday. Good day for it as it was cool out with not much sun. Although it did clear enough to get some good pics -

Mt Hood

Mt Adams, which I rarely see.

I'd love to ride a dirt bike again, but the consequences are too much

Yes and no. Normally I don't come across anyone. I did come across this guy -

He had just spent 20 minutes getting his bike upright. Not a very experienced rider and on the wrong bike. The snow in front of him was deep and went on for a ways. We talked and decided with each others help we would push past it seeing as it was the first snow accumulation we had come across. My logic was we had already summited that mountain and were coming down the backside, so it would be fine. I was able to ride through it but he needed assistance. We both agreed, going back uphill through it would be very difficult so fingers crossed we were right about forging ahead. We kept going and I stopped to take the pics of Mt Adams and sent him ahead. Took my pics and gassed it to catch him. I went for a ways at a good clip ad didn't find him. I was wondering how the heck he stayed ahead of me when I came across a bigger snowfield with a Ford Raptor stuck and a Jeep waiting to cross. I asked them if they saw another rider. Nope, which I found very perplexing. The Raptor guy said I might want to turn around because they came from the same direction I did and got turned back by snow. Turns out that side of the mountain is slow to melt. Oh great.....I have to go back up through the snow I could barely make going downhill, and my "helper" was missing. So I turned around and went back only to find the guy with his bike on it's side (again). Turns out he wiped out a bit off the road and I cruised right by him. Anyway, I gave him the bad news and we had no choice but to go back. Damn good thing we connected again because it took everything we had to get the bikes up the hill. I worked the controls on both bikes and he pushed. I think my heart rate got up to 220! But we made it. Just in time for the Raptor and Jeep to catch up. They anticipated much winch usage.

Other than that came across 7 UTVs. I didn't see their tracks in the snow so they wisely turned around.

You got that right. I would still be out in the woods if I hadn't met up with that guy. Well.....those guys. The Raptor and Jeep dudes would have helped me. I think.

Hahaha, sounds like a great time, Bob. Reminds me of sledding a new unexplored area and getting turned around.

Halito Woods. Late morning check in. Had to get up early and do my bar mgr stuff, then head to school to pick up grandson. They had half day today. Just resting a bit then heading out back to start leveling the spot for new shed. Shouldn't be too bad....maybe an hour or so of work. Can't wait for shed to get here Friday. Then I can clear garage out and get bike out. Well..... I can move things around and get bike out, but that's my excuse right now.
Sounds like some y'all having fun. I'm envious!! But hope you all have a great time. And we had hazy morning down here in Michigan from the smoke. Hope they get that calmed down soon.
So I got some lurking to do and head out back. Later.......

Afternoon gents.

@Juan L you'll be happy to know, I have ensured Manny will be over on Wednesday. I ordered the Cavendar's and it should be in the mail box. TLT will have it in hand this evening.
