Good thing you’re eating there, nothing but baloney sandwiches here.

We don't go "out" for steaks chuck....

Best steaks are cooked over coals by the feller that owns the grill....

Late evening pass by. The advantages of being bar manager. Had the gal who is supposed to do the day call me in tears and told me something came up and she could not do the whole day shift. Sent out a text asking other bar tenders for coverage, and no one came back and offered. So I told her I could come out a bit earlier and cover her shift. Got there and she had a phone call from a lady who was having trouble finding someone who could help with a memorial service for her husband. We talked, and I told her to make the arrangements with the cemetery and to let me know at least a week in advance so I had time to make sure I had a crew available. Not sure what happened, but she made calls to other Posts and no one would get back to her. She did start crying, which made me feel terrible. But I believe we can help her out and give her family some closure on that. Veterans deserve more respect than that.
But I finished out my girls shift for her so she could take care of what ever her "problem" is. I suspect a close family member had some issues and she wanted to be there for them. Slow day, but had a few members there.
So you guys make sure you take it easy and be careful out there! And don't get hurt traversing steps, gravel drives, and idiots on the road!!
