I'm hung up on 1985 year models. That's the year they came out. I've found a mint '85 model, but it's in South Florida. I want him to come down $700 which will cover a lot of my shipping, but no budge.

I think the VMax is pretty much unchanged from 85 to 2005, but I could be wrong.
No, you're not wrong. The biggest changes happened in 2008 or 2009. Otherwise, it was pretty much the same awesome bike each year.

Appears very clean and it's exactly what you want. If you pay 700 more than you 'want to' and keep it 5 years that's 140 a year. 12 bucks a month, 40 cents a day. Just a thought.

When the VMax came out we were all running around on our 850 Specials and CB 900's, and the VMax came out and whooped the ever living **** out of every bike out there. It was a living breathing bike killer. I wanted one badly but was a broke *** concrete finisher and never pulled the trigger.
7 yrs later in 1992 I had the money but got my first Harley and never looked back....

I understand not budging out of principle, but Mick does have a point. If this crash and my friend's tumor has taught me anything, it's life is too short. Love your family, hold them close. Make sure they never question how much you love them. And buy the toys you want while you can.
