I still haven't gotten used to saying I live in Florida.

Moldy, and others who are eligible, if you plan on being buried in a national cemetery when the time comes there is a process to reserve space as well as a form with pertinent info for your marker. I filled one out years ago and my kids have copies. Info available on the VA website.
I've told my daughter to have me burned, don't waste money on a casket I won't care about. Never liked the idea of being underground in a box anyway. If I did go the casket route, I would prefer a national cemetery, who knows what you'd be buried next to in a public one.

Took me a long time. My wife transferred down here in 1984. I had no sense of community for at least 10 years. I felt I was here temporarily. I met people through work but did not hang with them because none were bikers. It finally came around and this is definitely my home now.

I tried it a long time ago, had it's interesting bits but expensive and nearly all the jobs I could find were minimum wage, even for skilled workers. I left for money, not because I didn't like it. That was before Disney started the massive tourist traps, just had little Mom & Pop stuff when I was there. I will say I liked it better than Minnesota, but also that laid back uncrowded Florida is long gone. Right place in the southern part might be a nice place to retire, probably not much more expensive than MN, maybe even less.

That's how I felt in Tennessee. So far, this place feels like home. Get into the VFW and start getting the inside info on mechanics, cool local spots and meeting people.

Funny you should say that I just picked up the form to transfer my VFW membership to the post just down the road. I have stopped in there twice now for a beer. Not sure I can hang there often because it is a smoking facility. I think an hour in there is equivalent to a couple of cigarettes. I do intend on getting in on some of the activities though. My neighbor next to the horse farm we had for 30+ years was the Commander at the post there a couple of times. He got me to join many years ago.

She's mine now! That really sucked... I hate buying new vehicles. But I got a good interest rate, lower than the current Prime Rate, so that's not too bad.
