Chris, you should consider a jackshaft opener like I have, super quiet, wireless control capable. A little pricier than a regular opener but then you don’t have all that stuff hanging out in space. You can also get those guys to do a high lift door that raises the door tracks to the ceiling too.

I just called a local company in San Antonio. They quoted $2300 but could have the door in by tomorrow and with a better opener. Not sure if it's the jackshaft but I will call again and verify. I was a little sticker shocked. But I framed in and really need to get this done.
Morning Woodzers,
Saturday was a full day on the Switchback with highway and back roads. Bike rides amazingly smooth for a Dyna. TNLT Switchback is not nearly as smooth as mine for whatever reason. Good meeting and Chapter ride that followed. Couple hundred miles looked for the day. Not sure the solo seat and I are a match. It’s no touring seat that’s for damn sure.
Yesterday was cold, rainy and shitty outside. Pretty much set the tone for the whole day. Worked some on straightening out my Man Cave area until I got invaded by the grands.

The Home Depot price was the cheapest, but the lowest quality materials too. This other one can have it installed tomorrow if I give the go ahead.
I like you just for posting in the TOAK.

Morning ge nts!
That's what we have. Two of them. I did have an issue with the security latch not disengaging. Still haven't fixed it - just unbolted it. Nice to have the battery backup too. With our frequent power outages it comes in handy.

Prices have skyrocketed anymore and everything costs so much more. The jackshaft opener with the door installed is $2700. The standard opener is $2300 installed. That's the door, tracks, everything. I can't install it myself so I don't have a choice but to pay it. I'm calling around but the prices are high, no matter who I talk to.
