TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
My ex DIL's Father, which is Luke's other PaPa, has a new Tri-Glide.
He decided to install some 14" Paul Yaffe apes on it himself. I put the same bars on Purple a few years ago. It's a little bit of work. Pull the fairing and tank and go to work, including brake line and clutch cable, and he got in over his head. His brother in law came over, leaned on the inner fairing that he had pushed forward, and it tipped completely over and knocked a baseball sized dent in his brand new front fender.
We're not besties but he's a pretty good dude. He called me and I helped him put it all back together. Considering he wanted to light it on fire and call the insurance co, he's riding it now so he should feel better....

I am sure he was happy to have your assistance and nice of you to help out. I used to consider myself pretty good with wrenches but no more. The mechanic gods should come to my garage and confiscate all my tools to keep me out of trouble. I did not even know there was such a thing as a ignition alignment tool. Every time I try to do something on my bikes I end up causing more issues. I can change a battery or replace a bulb but beyond that I call or take it to an expert before I strip or break something.
I got the RK out for maybe 45 minutes of country riding. I sure do like that bike.

It's amazing how 45 min on a scoot can cure 8-10 hrs of bullshit....

Evening fellas. Mick, I have a hard time at Lowes. They seem to never know what's needed and are seldom helpful.
Jack, always a busy bee. Nothing wrong with that. I rode a trike once just to try it. Maybe someday if I really need to, but otherwise, not for me.
Bob, nice weather.
Jeff, great pics!
