TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
I've been eating broccoli for over 60 years and fried okra for 30 days. LOL

See what you've been missing for 60 plus years. At least you're a couple of years into chiccarones.

I love fried okra but I swore off all fried foods so I do not enjoy anymore. I used to love dipping it in cocktail sauce. Back in the mid 70's when I first started to indulge in a whiskey drink it was Seagrams. I do believe that is Canadian. Seven and Seven is what I recall. I quickly graduated to Henry McKenna. I drank it straight. From there is rum and coke or as I called it dumb and coke. That is what all the young ladies that I was chasing at the time drank including the one that reeled me in and I still reside with to this day. At some point about 10 years into the marriage we switch to vodka and cranberry. That is what she still drinks among other things like $14 chocolate martinis when we go out. I quit the juice and now do either vodka with diet tonic and a splash of Key lime. Sometimes I use gin. There are so many great domestic vodkas and gins to choose from. Some can get expensive. As for imports I like Reyka from Iceland above all.
