I do something similar. One of our Past Commanders of the Post was instrumental in helping the Legion Riders begin at our Post. The old timers thought this was a motorcycle gang/club and were vehement about not letting them start. He convinced them that it was us, our members, not a bunch of gang people, so we started. He was in charge of Honor Guard when I started and he taught me what to do. Unfortunately he died couple months after he retired out on a golf course. He is in the National Cemetery in Fort Custer here in Michigan. We went down at his internment, and I've ridden my bike down to visit him every spring since. Leave a can of Coors Light on his marker as that was his favorite beer. One ride I will not give up!!

 

Home sweet home for an evening, jack&coke in hand. No tv though, cut the cord four months ago, just peace and quiet. Took mom to her Dr. Appointment today. I haven’t seen her in seven months, she weighs in at 98 lbs and is in rough shape after 20+years of Parkinson’s disease ☹️. Hope all is well with y’all.

The clothes dryer was dead today, just as if it was unplugged. Checked the circuit breaker in the garage, has current to the wires. Late enough in the day I didn't feel like starting another project. Front loader Whirlpool with those front loader touch buttons that aren't mechanical. Hope it's just a fuse, will have to pull it out from the wall and take the back panel off.

Kind of a nothing day, wet and overcast, cold enough to stay inside. Will be next week before I'll think about taking a bike out.
