Hi Uncle Russ. Your opinion on this? The mechanic thinks I hit something. I disagree. Same mechanic that left debris in the fork that caused stiction and mild loss of control.

I’d have to examine it closely for signs of abrasion around the crack. Also I’d want to see if the crack extended through the tire and if the belts have been deformed. Did you try to air it up to see if it would hold air or does it all come out that crack?

From my perspective, even though you didn't ask me, is that tire split. I'm sure an expert with an in person inspection might be able to tell for certain, Chris.

we’ll something made that crack. Ultimately the rear tire failed while in a turn? That caused the low or high side which caused the accident. I didn’t ask for the details figured it’s not my business. I’m just spit balling here.
