I've actually made a conscious decision to make both my bikes quieter. They still have a nice rumble, but not blaringly loud. I still want black exhaust on the heritage... Someday

Got to look at the tire. Confirmed, this is where the air leak occurred that caused loss of control. Don't know if I hit something or not. I don't recall hitting anything but I have a loss of memory for the two minutes right before the crash. Landing on my head, the likely contributor.

I'll say after seeing that, that was a tire failure. That model of Dunlop is known for breaking apart.
This is the tire I rode home on from Chicago when I bought the bike. Didn't know it was in this condition until I took it off to swap for AEs.
There many pictures throughout the Forum of tires in this condition.
