The day they walked in and told me my right foot was broken, I was crushed. My only way to move was taken away. With the broken left shoulder and two broken feet, I didn't know what to do. I wanted to give up.
The therapist came in and we talked and discovered a new way of moving. I was thrilled. I went from feeling sorry for myself to being proud for what I could do, if only a little bit. I've kept that momentum and each day has been a new achievement.
I'm not special. Lots of people have done this, but I had not and to me, I went from helping to being helpless. That was soul crushing. But I've learned to be more patient with myself and take every little win I can. I know I'll walk again and ride again. My life isn't over and I wasn't going to take this like a bitch, I'm going to fight my way back with every breath.

So I took bike in at 1030 to Harley dealer for recall. They were busy....but said they would do it and I could wait. So I went to show room and tried on several helmets. Found the size in one I like. Snug fit, but sales gal told me it would break in. We removed my cardo mount and traded helmet in for discount. Waited for an hour or so after that. Went to service desk to check status and the service guy went back and looked. They had done the service then washed the bike and parked it off to the side!! I believe I waited an extra hour due to the porter parking the bike after wash job! So got my bike back and headed home. Then took a 40 minute trip to a leather shop that quoted me some patches. for our ALR group. New helmet worked pretty good. Got quite a bit of buffeting, which may or may not be due to the wind. Extremely windy today. So I'll continue to wear it and see how it works when there is less wind. It does have a clear full face visor and a shaded visor that drops down. One draw back is I can't hear the radio well. Seems pretty sound proof. But it does have pockets that I can put speakers in near the ears. So bottom line is I like the helmet, it is snug, but it will conform to my head after using (it did feel better when I got home) and to see if the minor buffeting is due to the windy conditions or if maybe I need to change windshield.

yeah we’re skipping it this year. I’ll rake over last years batch. Thanks biden!
Afternoon gents! Back from the gym and off to a 3 mile dog walk. The sun has actually made an appearance. If it sticks around I might even check out the Cycle Gear bike night in Vancouver. I'm sure it will be 8 nerds standing around talking about auxiliary lighting. But it's a good enough excuse to get some bike time in.
