Good morning Mick, Greg and all. Well wishes and positive vibes to all those ailing.
The Harley dealer called me and informed me my starter had to be replaced. I know good and well it did not. The starter clutch gear is going and the I guarantee the starter itself is just fine. I will never take my bike to the dealer again. My '07 did the same thing, it is a common failure with '07, '08 and maybe a few more years. My '07 Springer did the exact same thing and I had the gear replaced with a better gear for under $300. It is a 2 hour job. The dealer wants $1000 to replace the starter.
