Funny you should ask Mick. You may recall the hit and run incident a while back. The short recap is that some dumbass driving with a revoked license (DUI) decided to go road warrior on me and side swipe us on the highway. Fortunately there was no damage to persons or property. Turns out they have been running this guy through the legal system wringer and as part of his process, he was to make restitution to me for any damages. His attorney called me and said as much and wanted me to give him a number. I told him there is no number because there was no damage, and as far as I'm concerned, it's a closed matter. Let's just move on and learn from this. He appreciated that, but said the prosecutor would insist something be paid, so I told fine, tell your guy to get me a nice bottle of scotch. So today I get an email telling me he's giving me a cahier's check for $300, and I can go buy a bottle of Macallen 18.
