My go to for tooth pain relief was aspirin and Jack Daniels.

Thanks Greg ... Ibuprofen and Tylenol in massive doses along with Amoxicillin ( infection ) seems to be providing some relief ... I never knew I was such a wimp

Larry, there is nothing like a bum tooth to put us down for the count. I've had more than my share, I hate to admit. Heredity.
Hopefully you have enough Amox to last til the appt. As soon as it runs out and wears off, the pain will be back. Speaking from experience, unfortunately.
