Just saw something on the news about a pet food recall ... Purina something or other ... If you were using it contact vet immediately

Bill, let's think about that for a minute. Jeff knows this vehicle well and appears to have taken very good care of it, and assuming the rest of the Van is in decent shape.
Let's say he spends $10,000 or less installing a new or used motor. For 10k in a used vehicle he won't get much in that category, and have no idea of the vehicle history.
If he wants to buy new, that's great, but what would he spend ? $35K to 40K ?
IMO, it's well worth researching. If he wants something different, its a moot point.

Just using arbitrary numbers in a discussion about fix or replace. Right now we have no idea of the real numbers in Jeff's case.
EDIT: In my arbitrary number I was including new Long Block.
