I love that van and hope it is not serious but I have a feeling my luck has ran out with it.
My minivan got donated to a Veterans organization last summer. Motor and trans worked great, interior was excellent except for the headliner that came loose. Rust, electric gremlins, and leaky a/c made it uncomfortable and unreliable, and when the headliner came down over the driver's seat, that was the straw... For over 10 years it was comfortable to drive (getting rare to find something with enough room in it for me) and surprisingly useful, more room in it than some of the big suvs. Almost made it to 100,000 miles, just a few short.of that. In a decent climate with unsalted roads, it probably would have outlasted me.

I picked up the throttle again and it started rattling again and then started to lose power. It died and I limped off onto the shoulder. I lost all accessory power too and it was hard to turn and I had to stomp the brake to stop her. Lot of smoke and steam. It smelled like a tire fire. I actually called the FD but by the time they arrived there was no more smoke/steam. She is still a beauty and I will fix her up even if it means a new engine.
I doubt many/any of that year are left here, they tend to dissolve in 23 years in MN. Probably none that looked that good after just a few winters.

Went out and tinkered with the Impala some. Changed six of the plugs, my friend will have to get the other two. Set the idle mixture screws at one and three quarter. I'll adjust the floats tomorrow.

Afternoon, Woods. Several honey-do items complete in addition to pool system repair. I am so proud of me.

Bob was such an influence as his BroDad I fear he has outgrown us, Russ.

I'll bet he's on an incommunicado 1st Annual BroDad Pilgrimage to the PNW. Chanting as he walks along.
