Lou, why is the wheel loader in the bone yard ?, looks fairly complete. Does it need a repair that would cost more than the whole thing is worth ?.

The coupler for the hydraulic motor broke. That coupler happens to be a part of the transmission and is not serviceable without removing the trans. If we are removing the trans we might as well replace the trans and the loader is not worth fixing up. Big Cummings is in good shape though. It was a back up loader to the back up loader. That is why it's in the bone yard.

I guess it depends on how north. We like to use beaver. Not only can you really hold onto the tail while swinging, but the stench is phenomenal.
