When I got mine, the Alumas were about 400 lbs lighter, but over twice the price. I didn't think it was worth it when I'd be using a V8 pickup. Even with a load that more than doubled the pull weight, it didn't make much difference to the truck. That's with the little Chevy motor, with something like a Dodge 5.7 wouldn't make any difference at all I'd think. Still, those are nice trailers, would have spent a few hundred more for one, not over 1000, though. Pension doesn't have a cost of living increase...

Here I am dreaming about an iron butt to Daytona. A) I despise traffic B) I despise large crowds and C ) I hate people. Well In general anyways.
now I know my abc’s.
All In all it’s a rented trailer deal if I did go. But I already know this month will be a lean month. Money wise. So that’s out. Jeff wouldn’t come up here just to drive my sorry *** back and forth. So that’s out. Looks like the toak and Laconia thou I can do that with one tank one way.

Northeast down spout came off. From the house. Them brackets ain’t cheap! I’ll **** can the originals. ( hidden brackets that screw in behind the spout) I have some extra spout that I can fab up as a proper wrap around design. And plenty of screws for the job. But it’s not gonna be done til the wind dies down. Might even wait til Sunday. Not that big a job but big enough to impress the wife
Weather man said 50% chance of rain today, He was right, no rain going, pouring down rain on the way home , 50% .
I got rained on too Chuck but I was in the Ram.
Looks like it will require a 2" drop on the hitch and I just happen to have one but I just finished trying the 5 1/4" and I'm not taking that ball off again tonight. I only have the one 2" ball and every spare hitch of various drop lengths I have had a 2 5/16s ball. I was actually surprised that it had a 2" ball. Most everything has the bigger ball these days. Breaking loose those ***** by myself is a bitch. I need another person to back hold.

LOL,, I did buy a new 2" ball but the hitch I had with me was too much of a step down. I thought the 5 1/4" had on the shelf would do the trick but after swapping out the ball I found it did not. I have a 2" drop on the shelf and I think that will be just what I need but I ain't changing it out again tonight, I will do it first thing in the morning.
