Thought I'd take the long way home from a grocery run today, but it was cold enough my fingers told me the gloves I picked weren't up to the task. Oh well, while it lasted was a nice sunny day, but I underestimated how cold it was.
Guy that works at the store and likes to come out and look at my bikes said his wife's family was in Ukraine. Her parents said there wasn't any fighting around them and they weren't leaving, then the Russians pounded the next town over and they wanted help getting out of the country, so he went there to get them out and said that was one intense car ride out of the country. Said a Ukrainian soldier told him not to show a camera or his phone, would risk getting shot because they've already caught Russian spys taking photos. Also said the battle damage was definitely real, civilians were taking a pounding. Interesting vacation...

Resting, Russ. Taking antibiotics, the Doc said if I don't see improvement by Friday to come back in. Since I just took the first dose I cannot reasonably expect to see any yet. Ride safely.
