I remove the heel shifters anyway. Not into skinny jeans and they hang me up. And I am interested in this gas cap deal...

I’d be willing to bet that it’s to further reduce the number of parts , thereby reducing production cost .

The clutch went to a cable. Are the brakes going cable too? If not, not interested.
