Doo-Rag Guidance
#491
I've felt the inside of the do-rag, the outside of the do-rag, and the helmet, on many occasions after a ride. I've done so cuz I wondered the same thing you suggest.
I have NEVER noticed the outside of the do-rag being damp, so it is stopping sweat from reaching the helmet.
When the do-rag fails the sniff test and I throw it in the washing machine I sniff test the helmet as well. Never smells.
Maybe it depends on the do-rag?
Maybe you are guessing and your guess is wrong?
Either way the do-rag is keeping my helmet from stinking so I'ma keep doing it.

I guess I'm getting older now cuz threads like this used to bother me but now I just laugh at most of the posts and summarize in my mind who's worth their salt and his isn't. The internet allows some of you to be "that guy" and honestly it's more entertaining than anything else to me now

Started wearing one because the chemo type drug I take was making my hair fall out and it was easier to wash a doo-rag then pick hair out of my helmet. Now 3 years later my hair is a lot thinner and doesn't fall out as bad but my part lines are wider and since I don't always wear a helmet I don't want a sunburned head. This post is my effort to keep this all important topic going (one post closer to 17 pages).

A little doo-rag history, from the company that started it all.
