Second one, practice didn't make perfect... I'd still call it ballpark.
Third one... well, let's say it wasn't worth a photo. Seems common to get lumps around the edges when you're scrapping the last batter out of the bowl. I think tomorrow will be cheesy eggs and cheesy hash browns with some sausage patties and a piece of andouille sausage. Does anyone else sprinkle red pepper flakes (like on pizza) on their hash browns?

I couldn't sleep with the first grandson, kid was all over the bed. Just a couple weeks ago granddaughter (4) had her first overnight in months, first time she wouldn't stay in her bed. She wasn't a problem at all, slept peacefully on her side of the bed.

Flashback, memory buried for decades. Basic training, trainee made the mistake of referring to his M14 as a gun in the drill sergeant's hearing. "Son, see that big limb sticking sideways from that tree? Climb up there and sit on it." He manages to get up there, probably 8-10' up. Drill sergeant tossed his rifle up to him. "Now, son, hold the rifle up in one hand and say, 'This is my rifle', then pull your dick out of your pants and stretch it out and say, 'This is my gun', and keep repeating that until I tell you to come down." Everyone knew better than to smile, let alone laugh. The guy in the tree was sounding a bit hoarse when he was told to come down. I did not enjoy basic training, Vietnam was a barrel of laughs compared to that. I actually had another drill sergeant tell me he was a little afraid of the one I had, one evening when he'd had a few or more doses of relaxation. Lucky me...

Thanks, she's kind of the love of my life right now. Hope the one on the way is another girl. She seems wise beyond her years sometimes, and then reminds you how young she is when she just doesn't understand something.
Thursday's ride around the house when the scooter started smelling like burnt rubber. Gotta take that side cover off yet, see what's up with the drive belt. Would like to fix that before it gets cold. Maybe it was just slipping too long creeping around at a speed it couldn't fully engage, hadn't done that before. Has a variable pulley, no gears.
