I never got to fly a Baron, just sit in the right seat with no wheel. Flew with a guy that cleaned it up a few feet off the runway and let it get up to 160 indicated before he yanked it up at a steep angle, never climbed like that in a prop before, hot little aeroplane. Fun, too.
A Baron is a well built airplane. Unfortunately it is 10 pounds of stuff in a 7 pound container. Love the performance and flying quality.

Spent most of the day outside, morning milk run and then playing with the bikes and moved the big trailer. Only got one bike out on the road, but rode some to the back yard for some photos. Never took any before with all of them. They all started right away, even though the Honda has gas two years old. I plan to drain it and refill it before winter storage. Should have the Ural's burned out by then. The Honda had an awful seat, one in it now is a Jeep seat (fit perfectly), the most comfortable seat of the three. If I had to ride in it, I'd put one in the Harley sidecar. The 600cc Honda is by far the best handling. The Ural is tippy on right hand corners and on a good day with a tailwind, can hit 60 (the Honda will definitely go faster than I will with a sidecar). The Harley, gawd what a heavy beast, but it's most comfortable with the roomiest sidecar. I should really sell that Ural, just haven't gotten all fired up to do it yet.
I'm afraid I may have to put new lifters in the Harley, last winter it clattered pretty bad for a minute or two, today ran it about 5 minutes, never stopped. Decided not to warm it up good, if one of those lifters is bad, don't want to damage something else. I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but I've never changed a lifter in a Harley. Probably just one lifter, if that's what it is, but if I pull one, might as well do 'em all.

That's not all the sidecars, by the way. This one has the car off, and a few assorted parts like a gas tank, and is semi buried at the back of the garage. Only photo of it on this 'puter, grandson changing a carb insulator. It's a '98, and I bet some of the parts would interchange with a '36.

That's so cool Mike. I didn't know you had so many cool bikes! I'd love a sidecar and maybe someday I'll get one.
Goodnight Mike.
Goodnight Mike.
Good morning all. We are getting on the bikes and headed to breakfast. Looks to be another hot one. Riding early before the heat. Be safe and have fun everyone. The Kentucky Derby is today!
