Today’s agenda has me cleaning the shop in preparation for sealing and staining the interior wood of my new Anderson doorwall. Wish me success, I’m no painter. Screwing up on this project would be permanent.🤞
Chuck...careful application of painters tape..lots of it it. Our hands aren't as steady as they used to be.
no , I opened the bleeder valve to compress the pistons into the calipers ( because you’re not supposed to force fluid backwards in anti locks) then after replacing the pads, I pumped the lever to return the pads into contact with the rotors (stopping to top of the master, so as to not run it dry ).

I would bleed the brakes. I use a vacuum bleeder. Obviously very important not to allow the reservoir to get too low and introduce air bubbles into the ABS module under the seat. Then it's a trip to the HD dealer.

this I am aware of. I used a vacuum pump last year to replace the dot4 fluid. It takes two people because the master cylinder has such a small capacity.
