Didn’t freeze the bearings. The first time I did it,I did use a little anti-seize during re-assembly. The manual says clean and dry ?. I wiped what was in there with a clean rag and smeared a drop of light oil on the new ones to aid in reassembly. This is the third set of bearings in 40k miles, I don’t think I will do this in another 20k when I need tires again.
I thought the spotting on the lower front fork tubes might just be a little brake material, so I hit them with a little light rubbing compound, went right thru the clear coat At least they’re shiny again. Did the wheels with White Diamond, almost done with them , just a little more tomorrow.

The last time I did this job I got the bearings from Direct Cycle Parts, don’t remember which brand of bearings they were selling. This time I used OEM parts. I had a couple hundred dollars in Harley card points. They changed the color of the antilock incoder bearing, the tan side is supposed to face out , now there is no tan side, the factory are idiots ! What good does it do to have a manual if the new parts don’t match the description?.

Morning, morning Woods. Storms rolled through last night with a bunch of rain. Headed for the airport this morning to fly to Houston and tomorrow to Costa Rica if their Ministry of Health is good with it.

Got out for a little ride yesterday without getting wet. Don't know how that's gonna work out today.
